About this position
Au Pair / Live-in Nanny
A family is looking for a warm, patient and reliable au pair or live-in nanny to support their neurodivergent daughter, aged 7, turning 8.
Mum would love someone who can become a big-sister figure and join in family life, spending time playing, keeping her daughter entertained and building a trusting relationship.
Her daughter is slowly transitioning back to school during Term 4. The role will include supporting this transition and providing care around her school attendance, so someone flexible and understanding would be ideal.
Days and hours will depend on school attendance:
- If school attendance is successful: Monday to Friday, approximately 4–5 hours per day before and after school, up to 25 hours per week.
- If more daytime care is required: Up to 35 hours across four days, with either Tuesday or Wednesday off, as well as weekends.
The arrangement is for four to six months. Accommodation, meals and access to a car are provided. The family has proposed a weekly allowance of AUD $350, with the final remuneration and arrangement to be confirmed.
Applicants must already be in Australia and have appropriate working rights.
If you are caring, enjoy engaging with children through play and would love to become part of a small family’s daily life, we’d love to hear from you.
